This was a wonderful source of information, a picture of Iraq. I am a student studying journalism and islamic studies, and would like to work in the middle east. Whenever I tell people this, they always say, "That's a dangerous place," and I respond, "Yeah, but I'm more excited than scared." Reading this blog brought me into a real scenario and made me come to terms with some of the dangers, the reality of facing death, of being in a place where you are perhaps not welcome or tolerated. Hearing about detail like the tone of Arabic condolences and the look of Sadr was so eye opening, and I am better informed and aware after reading this account. Thank You!
