Broadening the blood supply
There’s a curious little item I saw this morning on one of the Beijing city magazines geared toward the ex-pat community.
Says that the Beijing Red Cross Blood Center is encouraging foreigners to give blood to ensure an adequate supply before the Summer Olympics.
“Especially needed is RH blood, found in 15 percent of Caucasians but only 0.3 percent of Chinese people.”

You mean RH-?
Or Rhesus Marque(D) negative, which is found in only 1% of Asians.
Geeze, I am surprised someone haven't made some comment about Asians having so much in common with Rhesus monkeys!

Refrigerated blood has a shelf life of only 35 days.
Another ugly American news story from the Queer State Department in Beijing.

Well, there might very well be a shortage of blood if them Christians start converting more Chinese.
Don't them Christians drink blood?
I heard they do that every Sunday, the blood of Christ.

Beijing wants to infuse western blood into the PLA and PSB to make its members bigger and stronger for regional domination.

It looks like the Paris Hilton Communist Party is alive and well in Beijing.
OMG, the Michael Lucas Communist Party; What was I thinking of?
Osama bin Laden is probably drinking goat's blood/milk out of an Asian cup right now: SOG. I wonder how many Bibles the House of Saud and GWB killed in that episode of Revelations?

Mr. Johnson, I'm afraid your post makes no sense. Rh merely measures a protein presen in blood to which it is possible to have a nasty reaction. Do you mean that the Chinese authorities want Westerners to donate because Westerners are more likely to be RH-?
My understanding is that that is a specious argument at best, as only 16% of the population commonly defined as Caucasian is Rh-; only among the Basque population of Spain is there a significant number of Rh- potential donors.
My, your comments section appears to be seriously afflicted by spam. Of the worst type.

In view of recent Earthquakes, there needs to be a special effort by citizens around the world to contribute to a blood drive. Chinese has received much criticism over Tibet -- it would be a powerful message to be a giving Planet of Citizens.
