Stevie Wonder sings for Obama in Indiana

Stevie Wonder brought the rain with him. It poured in New Orleans a few days back when he performed at Jazz Fest. And as he walked onto the stage at Barack Obama’s outdoor rally in Indianapolis on the eve of Indiana's primary election, a little before 9:30 p.m., the skies had opened up again.

But the crowd stuck around to hear Wonder sing “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” and lead some sing-a-long lyrics: “Ba-rack-the-next-pres-i-dent.” The performer told the crowd, “Prejudice is a sickness” and said Obama “inspires me to write songs, encourages me that there can be an even greater America.”

The crowd had to wait another 10-15 minutes before Obama actually came out, but still welcomed him enthusiastically. He asked: “Are you ready for some change?” and is now mid-way through his stump speech, pretty much unchanged. At least it's stopped raining.
