Coming the day after John Edwards admitted an extramarital affair, the headline might be seen as suggesting the same for McCain. Edwards himself said in his confessional interview on ABC Friday evening that McCain had had an affair at the end of his first marriage.
But no, the Obama camp wasn't saying that. Instead, the enticing headline drew readers into a New Republic article on McCain's opposition to abortion rights. Thus, his "woman problem."
Yes, McCain has a woman problem. He had an affair with Cindy while he was still married to Carol. He often publicly embarrasses her (latest: his 'Sturgis remarks), he has written that he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade and he has a horrible voting record when it comes to 'women's' issues.
But this doesn't mean that he'll lose or that women won't support him. It's another in a long list of negatives for him. We know however that the best candidate rarely wins.

If the polls are right, a public tired of Republicans is beginning to think an increasingly bothersome Obama would be no better -- and maybe a lot worse. It is one thing to suggest to voters that they should shed their prejudices, eat less and be more cosmopolitan. But it is quite another when the sermonizer himself too easily evokes race, weekly changes his mind and often sounds like he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.
In a tough year like this, Democrats could probably have defeated Republican John McCain with a flawed, but seasoned candidate like Hillary Clinton. But long-suffering liberals convinced their party to go with a messiah rather than a dependable nominee -- and thereby they probably will get neither.
Obama’s brush off the shoulders, condescending “sweetie”, silent approval of Senator Hillary Clinton being bashed by sexist media, on and on….As a Hillary Supporter,I’m OVER the Democratic Party. McCain gets my vote. I refuse to allow the sneaky low life Dean, DNC and the filthy no good talk show hosts media to choose my president.
No Bama. Never. Just Say No Deal. PUMA John McCain 08

Sure Hilary1st, we should ALL just settle for the same old Democratic politics with Hilary right?? So in essence, all of the Hilary diehards are suggesting the same thing they accused the DNC of doing......shove Hilary down are throats!? To reiterate the primary results....Hilary would not have won even with the full votes, because Obama's caucus wins would still counted, but NO you folks wanted to cheat also by having them not count. What goes??

McCain like Edwards, Clinton and countless other men with way too much power they think only with their little head.

Um, do you not realize that Barack beat Hillary in the democratic primary- he had more votes and delegates. Maybe if you dead enders were able to convince more people maybe she would have won- too bad you guys failed your candidate

These 'PUMAs' rear their head in many places.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, if, if, if, maybe, maybe, maybe.
Vote for whoever you want to vote for, and keep crying if you want, misconstrue sayings and events, continue with your threats, none of this is good for you or your (supposed) candidate.
