Paris Hilton has spoken, all about John McCain, or as she puts it, the "wrinkly white-haired guy."
She responded late Tuesday on the "Funny or Die" website to the presumptive Republican nominee, who last week used her in an ad comparing her celebrity to that of Democrat Barack Obama.
The ad begins with images of the Golden Girls and Larry King.
Then the celebutante tells everyone, "I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity, too. Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot."
She says all this from a lounge chair at a pool, clad in a bathing suit reading a magazine. She goes on to compare the McCain and Obama energy program, and proposes a compromise, and promises a run for president herself.
Because McCain used her in the ad, she explains, "I guess (that) means I'm running for president. So thanks for the endorsement white-haired dude. I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead."
And she says goodbye by saying she has to go pick a vice president and pledges to "see you at the debates."
McCain's campaign responded Tuesday with its own tongue-in-cheek comment. McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds told Associated Press Hilton apparently supports McCain's energy ideas.
"Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan," Bounds said.
Wednesday, the Obama campaign offered its own take on the matter, according to McClatchy Washington reporter Bill Douglas.
Asked for a response to the Hilton ad, Bill Burton, an Obama campaign spokesman, said “no response.”

Why won't anyone call this what it is?? Terrorism. The Governor is using terrorism and psychological warfare to get the budget passed. I voted for him and now I am feeling that I voted for a matter of style versus experience. "Come with me if you want to live." "The beatings will continue until morale improves or the budget is passed." He has taken hostages and made the first round of executions. He has destroyed the morale of Californian's ... Talk to a State worker as a friend or neighbor. It is the fear of the unknown, what tomorrow will bring, a lower paycheck or loss of a job. The Terminator should be TERMINATED for this crime against the people.

The Hilton video is a good response. If McCain's people say their 'celebrity' ad is supposed to be humorous, then they just got upped by PHilton.
She deals with the McCain ad well and, if she's *merely* a celebrity, then she just put herself in the spotlight.
He is pretty old, isn't he?
