CNBC's John Harwood reports that John McCain has selected Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.
"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a self-styled "hockey mom" who has only been governor for a little over a year, is GOP Presidential candidate John McCain's choice for Vice President, CNBC has learned," he reports.
"According to a Republican strategist, Palin is the nominee, though McCain's campaign has not comfirmed this."
Smart pick, you have to admit.
I just that the disgruntled Hillary supporters whose positions on issues are Democratic don't flock to McCain just because he picked a woman. I hope they look at the issues and vote.

Weird choice - undermines his "no experience" slur against Obama, and odd for an old guy to name an unknown who might actually have to serve.

Palin who?
Is she experienced?
McCain's fallin' for sure with this poor choice.

I thought No Way No How No McCain would pick Christine Todd Whitman over Palin, but you never know in politics today. Choosing a Palin may give some people pause, but in the end she pales in comparison to Hillary Clinton (who is qualified to be President, but unfortunately ran a bad campaign)...and Hillary will probably take it upon herself to make the distinction while strengthen her case for an Obama/Biden win in November.
No way no How No McCain/Palin.

This definitely upped the ante in the election!

This is certainly a surprise; young, oil-friendly crony who will support ANWAR drilling after "Old White-Haired Dude" mysteriously dies in office. Didn't see that one coming!
