Barack Obama Friday found a novel way to appeal to the white blue-collar voters he badly needs to win in Ohio: Get Al Bundy to campaign for him.
And so Ed O'Neill, the actor who portrayed the embattled husband and father on "Married with Children" came to Youngstown, Ohio, to stump for the Democratic nominee.
O'Neill got a big welcome from the crowd at Youngstown State University, which had gathered to hear Sen. Hillary Clinton. "I haven't been here in 10 years," O'Neill said, 'and I usually don't get involved in politics."
Then he recalled growing up here, and urged a vote for Obama. The crowd in this working-class town loved it.
Pictures or video would be great!

WHOOOOOOOOOOAH BUNDY!!!!!
Peg was a cheaper slut than I am, but she could out-think Sarah Palin in a heartbeat. And, check this out: In all the years that "Married with Children" was on the air, Kelly Bundy, consumate slut that she was, never got pregnant. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Awesome!!
I love Married with Children, and the show was set in Chicago to boot! Dunno Chicago well enough to know if they were in Obama's district or not, but that would have been funny.
You don't get more "Joe six-pack" than Al Bundy.

One of my few all time hero's Al "Four touchdowns in one game" Bundy for Obama! Take that Fox. Glad Al didn't endorse Obama when he was running against Hillary.

Al Bundy? How about Eric Baker???? Am I the only one who can see all of the West Wing parallels in this campaign?

LOL..love this. Ed O'Neil has always been one of my favorites. Married with Children was a great show, and his comparisons are just marvelous to Peg and Sarah, and Kelly and Bristol. It's beautiful! Way to go Ed! When will we see him on TV again..As an actor he rocks!

I think Obama should get Homer Simpson to do an Ad for him, Betty White was on Leno and she was raving about Obama.

I met Ed O'Neil many years ago in Venice Beach, CA at a handball game. He was gracious enough to sign autographs and to pose for pictures for many of us. He's a regular guy, and I always be a big fan of Ed.
