A new survey by Anchorage pollster Ivan Moore Tuesday contains more bad news for Sarah Palin.
As McClatchy's Chris Adams reported last week, Palin's popularity has been on the slide among Alaskans since she was named McCain's running mate.
Moore's new poll shows that trend's continued — with those holding a favorable opinion of her slipping another 3 points to 65 percent. But Moore says the more interesting number is the number of Alaskans who now say they view her negatively — 30 percent. That's a record high.
A new Ipsos/McClatchy poll, out tonight, also suggests Palin doesn't do herself any good in public, whatever the pundits might say about her performance. Before last week's debate, voters judged her qualified, 48-43. But that turned around after the debate, with 51 percent of those surveyed now saying she's unqualified.
That's consistent with what McClatchy's Erika Bolstad reported over the weekend: Palin got Miss Congeniality out of the debate; but the contest went to Obama/Biden.
a few months ago after the RNC, Ms. Palin remarked: wait till Oct. 7th, intimating something would happen. That statement appeared in one of the McClatchy
articles. I haven't seen anything of note concerning Ms. Palin today. Does anyone know what she was referring to? Maybe tonights debate?
thanks

Palin is the right's RClinton. She only grows in polarization.

After watching her at the convention the thought came to mind that McCain had picked a bimbo, I was wrong for she has a nasty, vindictive nature and I'm sure the charges lodged against her in Alaska without a doubt are true.I think what ever political ambition's she may have had are ended and that bodes well for both Alaska and the country as a whole....

Palin has enough political time left in Alaska to remake herself. She's probably done nationally, but she'll stay around up there.

Palin has more qualification for being vice-pres than Obama has for being a President. I have seen so many Dem women complaining about her ability to have a family and a career while most of them gave up their careers to have children. To be honest most Dem mothers are on welfare and Obama will give them more child support from the tax payers. You know food stamps are part of growing up..

Imaami,
Your entire post is poorly argued. I'll only point to your first sentence, "Palin has more qualification for being vice-pres than Obama has for being a President." It's a non sequitur.
Palin and Obama are running for different offices. However, if Palin was at the top of the GOP ticket then she would never have come close to being this far.

Palin is a sad case of abition run amuck. If Alaska wasn't such an easy state to run, I highly doubt she would be govenor. It has obviously gone to her head. Now that Alaskans know what she is truely like, I doubt she has a future there.

Imaami,
That comment about most Dem mother being on welfare is illogical and untrue. You're not being "honest," you're disrespecting people you don't even know.
It's insulting to me because I'm a single mother, a Democrat, and even though my family qualified for food stamps, I refused them. I got by on my own.
The surest path to unhappiness is to spend your time hating people by the millions.

A classic case of liberal, statist bias in the reporter: "… the number of Alaskans who now say they view her negatively — 30 percent"
Let's rephrase it. "Palin's approval ratings remain high at 70%, one of the most admired and respected governors in the United States."
In an era of presidential approval ratings by the drive-by media in the high twenties, and the liberal, statist controlled Congress approval ratings below the Presidents, I find this reporter's missed the more compelling narrative altogether.
How about, "Even with a 14% drop in approval ratings in her home state of Alaska, Vice Presidential candidate Palin has earned better approval ratings than the President and Congress combined!"
If this reporter worked for me, I would fire her on the spot; gross incompetence!
