I know it is all about the oil. I know that those who thought to use the greed of US politicians to remove one rotten tyrant and impose the will of tens of others upon the people of Iraq, had oil in mind as payment for the services rendered by the US Administration.
Oil, not blood.
The wound is now open, left to fester, contaminated by some known and mostly unknown germs.
But now the price to be paid is being dealt out in a different coinage; blood, and human lives; some taken, others destroyed; more yet left in despair over lost loved ones that have been killed, maimed or have simply disappeared.
The price is not paid by those who made the decision and reaped the benefits, but by us.
Democracy and freedom for the Iraqi people!
I issue an invitation to Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.
Come; experience first hand the democracy you brought us.
Come; partake of the freedom you so generously taught us.
Come, I will offer you my home, there is room enough.
I had a brother. He was killed; coinage for your democracy. (11.Aug, 2005 – 52 yrs)
I had a son. He was killed; coinage for your freedom. (3 Dec, 2005 – 18 yrs)
I had a nephew. He was killed; coinage to ease your inflated ego. (12 Feb, 2007 – 30 yrs)
Come, there is room enough in my home to accommodate you; but there is no room in my heart to accommodate your lame excuses.
Come, all those who participated in wounding our hearts; come; there are more than half a million places vacant of their occupants, we will accommodate you.
There is room enough.
I am sorry to hear of the personal losses you've had to endure. I'm also very sorry for the hardships you and your countrymen continue to endure on a daily basis. I am an American and proud of it. Our elected leaders have made some grave misjudgments throughout this current operation. Iraq may never become the beacon of democracy most of my countrymen hope it will, but no one can claim America hasn't sacrificed so Iraqui's can at least have a chance. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy, and a free society is worthwhile in our estimation. Instead of casting blame on those who made the erroneous decisions, lets ALL work to make better decisions, and put an end to the violence and bloodshed that's making the average Iraqui citizen's life hell on earth. If it matters, I am a retired US Army soldier.

I am truly sorry for what has happen in you're country, what is going on there and has been going on there is not right. It makes me sick to say I live in america, I as well as many people I know do not support the war and havent from the start. We have a messed up goverment over here, and I thinks it's stupid that they think they can go over there and tell the Iraq people how to do thing's...when they cant even run their own country. I think we have a very greedy money hungry goverment system in todays time, and I just pray and hope that this pointless war comes to an end as it should have never happen. I am sorry for the pain and suffering of all of you over there....and my prayers are with you're country.

As an American I apologize to you, your family and all Iraqis. Some of us tried to stop this war before it happened. Many more of us have been trying to end the occupation since. We haven't yet succeeded and for that I am truly sorry.

My comment (Take that plane. And don't forget your body armor!) was meant for the gentleman/woman who thinks I am a fraud; my life a mockery; and my - and other Iraqis' pain a fiction.
If my aim (the blogger's "name" I wrote) went astray, I apologise.
But otherwise, my invitation stands.
Any who are in doubt, come.

What are the real estate laws like for foreign investors? Now may be a good time to buy.

I think commenters are criticizing aric in america unfairly. He was just warning about Red State and what is being said on that blog. I think RON DROZ is the one who posted the "troll" comment. It's a little unclear from the way the comments show up in this post. I think the post should be as follows:
SAHAR, YOU ARE A FRAUD. YOU SOUND LIKE AN AMERICAN LEFTY TRYING TO SOUND LIKE AN IRAQI.

I think Sahar means that if the Redstate commenter is so convinced that Sahar is a fake, he should come to Baghdad and prove it. Especially since his doubts spawn purely from his own partisan political beliefs and not the reality which Sahar has to live with every day.

sad, so sad. reminds me of any of the speeches from 'bury my heart at wounded knee'. this world will never change.

"Aric in America sounds like a right-winger unable to admit his tragic errors." --> No, like I said I saw a blog post that briefly was on the front page of Red State calling this site a bunch of propaganda. I think the posts I read here are real.
"Get on that plane. And DON"T forget your body armor" --> So now only people who have physicaly been to Iraq are aloud to comment?

To aric from America
I DO understand your reluctance to give up your illusions as to WHAT and WHY regarding Iraq. Hence my invitation.
There is only ONE way to resolve your doubts as to my truth and reality.
Get on that plane.
And DON"T forget your body armor.

I am eternally grateful for being an American citizen, for all the benefits that brings me, but I am also truly ashamed to be part of the America that begins wars based on lies, exaggerations, distortions, and disinformation. I am glad that George Bush is a born-again Christian, for he will thus surely burn in Hell eternally for what he has done. And I think it would be appropriate for all those Neo-cons and Dubya lovers to march on down to the nearest recruiting depot and enlist immediately if they truly believe in the war that they facilitated by supporting this idiot. This means you, Feith, and Rummy, and the Cheney family, and Wolfowitz, and the rest of you and yours.

I am so sorry. I printed this up and will give to the staff at my Representative's office.
I think bush is only bringing the freedom of the grave and the democracy of death.
I think the republicans are a bunch of evil blood-sucking vampires.
(and "aric in america" -THIS IS WHAT AN AMERICAN LEFTY SOUNDS LIKE - YOU FRAUD.)

America lost 3000 odd of their young soldiers.
these are paid to fight and lost life in line of duty. what about the Iraqi public who are innocent? America went there uninvited and now blames Iraqis for not being able to take care of them selves.I believe medical association figure of half million dead. Also add more than 2 million displaced.
the rest are living in poverty. A catch 22 situation that America with draws, theocratic state and Iran are beneficiaries.
If they stay there is no piece, no cheap oil. of course people do not count if they are not Americans.
Long live Bush mark "democracy, freedom, liberty"
I am sure this kind of democracy will spread fast and I see early hints in Canada.

Like you, there is no room in my heart for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. There is room in my heart for you and all the other people who have lost so much in Iraq. It's small comfort, but know the majority of Americans are against this war in Iraq being carried out in our name. What would it take to bring security to your country so the people there can begin to rebuild? Clearly, what the leaders think would work, doesn't work. Tell us what you think could be the solution?

Aric in America sounds like a right-winger unable to admit his tragic errors.
I wonder if HE was writing from Iraq, or safely hiding at home, letting others do the killing and dieing - like the cowards and draft-dodgers who sent our troops on a fool's errand.

Sahar, As an Australian citizen, I cannot begin to comprehend the Hell that has been unleashed upon your country. 'Room Enough' shows some measure of it though, and rings true as from one who knows what it is to suffer. I apologize for the darkness my Government's arrogance has helped bring to your country. In this respect, I am ashamed to call myself an Aussie.

Ron Droz is right, because we all know that all Iraqis love the United States and also have not suffered any personal tragedies in the past three years.
Posted by: tequila | February 20, 2007 at 04:33 PM
This blog has been picked up by Red State - prepare for a bunch of right wingers telling saying this is nothing but a bunch of disinformation.

Words cannot express how sorry I am for what you and everyone in Iraq is going through. i wish there was something tangible that I would do to help ease your suffering.
I just hope you realize there are many Americans who do not agree with what our government is doing in Iraq and the world. We do what we can here but obviously it is slow and in the meantime you suffer.
I am truly sorry...

I'm so sorry, Sahar. I wish I could do more than pray for you all and continue to work for the end of this evil.
