I was checking the office e-mail when I saw this letter from an American father named Rick. he was asking for info about a small town in Ramadi province. The man doesnt want to increse his knowledge about the geography of Iraq, no. He was just asking to know if his son who serves there as a marine is ok. I was brave enough to catch my tears and I decided to dedicate my blog to you Mr. Rick
Dear Brother Rick.
I read your letter. Our American brother in the office answered you and I wish his words bring peace to your worry heart. I just wanted to say that I share you your fears. Yes Rick, every Iraqi family shares you the fears because the Iraqi families live in fear day and night. evey mother and father who lost a son or tow or three sons and I know many of them share you your fears, every wife who lost her husband in a car bomb or IED or in clashes share you your fears. When any member of any Iraqi family goes to work or goes out for anything, the whole family lives in fear because he might be killed by the militia or killed by an IED or a car bomb or by a gang or a foreign secuirty company guy or the Americ troops or even teh Iraqi secuirty forces. Yes, we feel the same fear about the same thing, our families' members. About three weeks ago, my 9 months son was sick for about 6 days. He had fever. I swear I couldnt even sleep well, I tried to keep him always beside me. I was holding him in my arms all the night until he sleeps, I cried three times because I was unable to do anything for my sweet son. His fever was very very bad in many nights that he couldnt breathe easily. At that moments, I was ready to give my life to the one who could help him to be better. I prayed to GOD, I prayed much. I had many fights with my wife because of silly things and thanks GOD she took in consideration my worry. When he got well, i was the happiest man on this earth.I hugged him strongly and kept kissing his hands and looking in his sweet little eyes. I was talking t o him and enjoying the loveliest smile on earth. it was only fever that made me so worry. honestly, I cannt imagine the worry of the Iraqi and US soldiers' families. May GOD give patience to the broken hearts of the families who lost their sons or the father or any member.
i want to tell you brother that the area where your son serves is a very small town and thanks GOD that we didnt hear any violence news from it. I pray it stays calm and safe for your sake and for the sake of all Iraqis and American families. I will pray for you and for all the Iraqi and the American families that this crazy war ends so sooooooooooon and all your sons return safely to the their families. I wish I could see you hugging your son telling him how much you felt worry about him and how much you missed him. MAY ALLAH (GOD)MAKE MY WISHES AND PRAYS TRUE.
Hope you hear good news from you son so soon
best wishes to you and all your family
your
LAITH

Dear Laith,
There are many of us who pray for you and your countrymen every day. I am so sorry for the chaos the U.S. administration has brought to the people of Iraq.
I am late in posting because I just discovered this site. I will look for you daily and hope you post again.
My best wishes for future peace. I now add your family to my prayers.

Laith,
Best wishes to you, dear Laith. We are doing all we can to have our government get our soldiers out of Iraq.
We cannot begin to understand what it must be like for all of you wonderful people. Please understand that this administration does not speak for the American people.

Dear Laith: Your compassion gives me hope for all of us. Would that we all could see each other as beloved children--and as brothers and sisters-- and act accordingly. I'm glad your son is better, and hope he stays well.
