No country in the world deserves this victory more than Iraq. I was thrilled to see pictures of Iraqis celebrating together safely in the streets.

Guns shot in the air to celebrate are not uncommon in many parts of the world including Mexico. It is probably most like firecrackers.

Just one quick question. What is it with the shooting in the air when Iraqis celebrate something? The celebration of the soccer team is so wonderful, it's a shame to ruin it with people getting killed and injured with stray bullets. Iraq needs to think of a plan B for celebrations that don't kill people and other living things. Just saying.
