It depends on the unit. Some of the ISF units (both police and army) are quite competent, held back only by their low-grade equipment. Others, however, are pretty much bumpkins who aren't issued nearly half the equipment they need and don't seem to have much training beyond which is the business end of their AK. They operate more on machismo than good common sense - not a good thing. I don't know them well enough to tell what the fault is exactly, but they just never got taught how to do most of the stuff they need to do.
Training and supply. Iraq straightens out their troops' training and equips their guys with the gear they need, they could be world-class.

A Christian

Reminds me of U.S. call-in shows. One host, Jay Sekulow, always cuts people off after one sentence. I pray Jesus brings peace to Iraq.
