A friend of mine who is studying in Spain, Mahdis Azarmandi, has been working on a project she plans to exhibit soon at her university.
She's a young artist and talented photographer whose latest work is kind of a personal kaleidoscope where she seamlessly combines her photos into stark, startling, thought-provoking images.
Mahdis sent me a few of her works-in-progress last week and gave me the OK to give them their Internet debut here.





I like the wall super-imposed on top of the Mount of Olives; very symbolic and interesting. I also like the picture of the men praying in the wreckage of the building. It doesn't look doctored though. It just sadly looks too real.
