Israel calling: Don't back Hez

As Lebanon declared a national holiday to honor Samir Kuntar, residents of Lebanon started getting calls from unknown numbers.

When they answered their phones, they heard a message, in classical Arabic, that apparently came from the State of Israel.

"Beware of Hezbollah and the Lebanese government," the voice said. "Don't trust them."

The messages, which ended by saying they were from the State of Israel, appeared to be part of an Israeli psychological warfare operation in the wake of Kuntar's release.

Israel has used similar tactics in the past to try and create a climate of mistrust and suspicion in Lebanon.

This time, Israeli officials aren't commenting.
