What struck me when I read the article was

1) Palestinians have become so de-humanized that this type of behavior is seen as 'humor' by those doing it instead of power over the helpless, the ruled, the powerless. It is humiliating, but it is so much more. That the clips have been posted on YouTube under 'Comedy' is sad, frightening and outrageous.

2) Thank God for those human rights workers on the ground from Machsom Watch, B'tselem and others that document, prevent and change things on the ground.

Take a look at yourself

Anyone who has spent more than three minutes in an Israeli bar or coffee shop knows that you don't need to ask stupid white teenagers to slur - simply start talking about Palestinians and sure as dawn an Israeli will interrupt your private conversation and start at it.

The country is an ethno-religious state, by definition it is racist. You don't even need to get into Lieberman's loyalty oaths and its soldiers' on-base t-shirts.

These kids were American racists. They may be next year's IDF volunteers (as Birthrite intends), but they are Americans, not Israelis. If you want Israeli racists, Max should have asked about Arabs.

But forget drunk kids, do I need to start quoting Israeli Prime Ministers criminal slurs?

Reminds me a bit of that scene in "Borat" where he starts talking about exactly what the white southerners really mean at that rodeo.

Justin

Truth always rises to the surface and the world will one day know that the concept of a "chosen race" is the bed rock of racism in the world.
