'Obamarama': Hope Gift Shop
The latest Obamarama image comes from Juliana over at Afromusing, one of the best Africa-related blogs out there. She alertly spotted this newly named kiosk at the airport in Kisumu, the heart of Luoland and near to where Obama's step-grandmother lives.
No huge shock here. This is the same airport that area MPs wanted to get upgraded late last year, on the off chance that Air Force One might drop in. The airport is badly in need of repairs, and a Chinese firm has reportedly begun a major renovation and expansion.
Thanks, Juliana. Remember, folks -- keep the entries coming via e-mail.
Previous installments in Obamarama:
Mini Market in Kigali, Rwanda
Video shop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Bar-cafe in Cotonou, Benin
Snacks Point in Ntulele, Kenya
