Venezuela: not so bad off

A lot of reporters, including me, have reported that Venezuela could be facing a dire situation in 2009 with the sharp drop in oil prices.

A new analysis from a left-of-center think tank challenges that view. The report is not a surprise. The Center for Economic and Policy Research can usually be found defending Hugo Chavez. But the group is definitely worth listening to.
